In my young days I lived in Vorkuta. My mother worked at a coal plant there and had to retire early (due to severe conditions the state counts one year as two on such enterprises). We lived together for a while, until my grandmother took me to Samara.

I personally experienced the hardships of life in Vorkura: constant cold, freezing weather, eternal dullness. People literally try to survive. It feels like it is still 1990-s there.

But somehow it feels charming. It has a northern romantic feel to it. Almost every night I could see the Polar lights, the endless tundra, deers and arctic foxes.

This release is my tribute to the beautiful land of Vorkuta and my brothers who still live there.

The release is as dirty as a miner’s lungs and as cold as Vorkuta winters. This music is harsh and influenced by old school.
